Chiedozie Okafor

Executive Board Chief Development Officer

Chiedozie Okafor is the eldest son of Nigerian immigrants and a Dallas, Texas native. He is a purposeful leader with over 13 years of experience spanning consulting, strategy, and product work across multiple industries. Professionally trained as a management consultant, Chiedozie has served as a strategic thought partner to hospital systems, educational organizations, and media and design firms—supporting clients ranging from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies.

Building on this foundation, Chiedozie joined Dell Technologies in 2020, where he has supported business-unit strategy, partner engagement, and product-led business growth. Known for his strong strategic acumen and high emotional intelligence, he excels at building trust, rapport, and influence across diverse teams and organizational levels. He is often described as an empathetic straight-shooter—someone who believes deeply in people’s potential, prioritizes development, and puts clients first.

Chiedozie holds three master’s degrees: an MBA and a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Midwestern State University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University–College Station, where he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

In addition to his corporate background, Chiedozie is a Licensed Professional Counselor–Associate in Texas (under the intentional supervision of Taran McGowen, LPC-S) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), as well as a certified life coach. He supports individuals navigating personal and professional challenges, identity transitions, and relational growth. He is also the host of the podcast I Think I Love My Wife, which explores the complexities, struggles, and beauty of marriage through the lens of married men—creating space for honest conversations around mental load, societal expectations, generational patterns, and gender norms. At his core, Chiedozie’s work centers on being a trusted thought partner and creating safe, affirming spaces that help people turn insight into action. He has a deep commitment to working with clients from all backgrounds and a long-standing passion for advocating for young professionals, people of color, and those seeking healthier relationships.

Family is central to his foundation. Outside of his professional work, Chiedozie enjoys spending time with his wife, friends, and loved ones, cycling, playing golf, traveling, watching sports, trying new restaurants, serving through his nonprofit (From A Tither), and attempting—often unsuccessfully—to tire out his Aussiedoodle, Yaji.
