Discover our ready. set. read! program, where every child can be a reader.

Our Ready. Set. Read! program tackles the literacy crisis head-on by pairing professionals with daycare and preschool-aged children, igniting a powerful love for reading from the very beginning. Our goal is simple: to improve the transition from "learn to read" to "read to learn" by third grade and beyond.

Volunteer reading to students

We recognize that the early years of a child's education are crucial in shaping their future academic achievements. That's why our program is designed to create and foster a deep passion for reading at a young age. By introducing professionals who are passionate about literature and learning, we inspire children to see reading as more than just a necessary skill. We make it an exciting and enjoyable journey of exploration and discovery.

But our program doesn't stop at the confines of the classroom. We believe that the love for reading should extend beyond school hours. That's why we encourage reading moments in various settings, both in and out of school. We provide resources and support to parents, caregivers, and community members, empowering them to cultivate a rich reading environment for children in every aspect of their lives.

Our approach to early childhood learning is not limited to individual efforts. We understand that it takes a community-wide commitment to make a lasting impact. Through partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and schools, we create a cohesive network of support that ensures every child has the opportunity to develop strong reading skills. Together, we build a foundation for lifelong learning, sparking a love for reading that will transform lives and shape a brighter future for generations to come.
